Renewals
Notification to the Revenue and Collections Office is required prior to any change in location, name or ownership.
The Town
will continue to offer those with access to the internet the ability to renew their
business license online without having to visit Town Hall. Each renewal
notice mailed out by the Town will contain your business license number
as well as a personal identification number (PIN) that allows you to complete
the renewal application on our website. Online payments may be made using either your checking or savings acounts, Mastercard and Visa.
All Business Licenses expire
on December 31st of each year regardless of when the account was opened.
As a courtesy, renewals are typically mailed out in January or February.
To avoid paying penalties of 5% per 30 days, the annual renewal fee must
be paid no later than May 31st for all businesses.
If you do not plan to work on Hilton Head
Island for the current calendar year, please indicate this on your renewal
form or contact the Town's Business License Department for further instructions.
