Programs:
- In order to encourage redevelopment of private properties to maintain their economic value, enhance visual qualities, and reduce stormwater runoff contaminants, establish a program where private property owners can buy into a regional stormwater management system that provides off site storage and water quality measures.
- In order to encourage redevelopment of private properties to maintain their economic value, enhance visual qualities, and reduce stormwater runoff contaminants, establish a program where private property owners can buy into a regional parking facility that provides off-site parking, enabling them to maintain up to existing levels of development.
- Establish a public art program that celebrates the area's natural and cultural resources, as well as recognizes significant elements of the Island's history, becoming a permanent and distinctive part of the area.
- Establish a directional signage system for the area using a standard design incorporating an element which is unique to the area to assist residents and visitors in finding their way to various destinations.
- Facilitate the establishment of a public open-air market in the area to provide a location for local growers, artisans, and non-profit organizations to market their products and bring new activity to the area.
