Previous experience includes 14 years as marketing manager for super regional shopping centers in Georgia and Michigan. Former communication manager for large chemical company owned by Molson of Canada. Communication specialist for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and responsible for 1986 Olympic sponsorship. Created and managed large special events including United Steelworkers Dinner, numerous golf outings, largest chili cook off in the country, chocolate festival and a major bike race across Michigan. Worked for the Michigan Opera Theatre, National Kidney Foundation of Michigan and the Association for Retarded Citizens. President of a public relations firm in Southfield, Michigan.

Civic Background: Served four years on the Town of Bluffton Affordable Housing Committee.

Other Affiliations: Regent for three years with the HIlton Head Island Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, vice chairperson of the Leadership Alumni Association.
