To announce a special event on one of the Town's three special events boards an application form must be completed and submitted to the Community Development Information Center.
The application for space on special events signs are available at Town Hall in the main lobby area or on this website in Adobe Acrobat format. The application form asks for the name, location, date, time and sponsor of the event and the sponsor's federal tax exempt ID number. If the event is tourism related, please include the number of expected attendees and event admittance fee. In addition the time frame the event is to be displayed on the sign and which sign preference for posting the event need to be completed on the application form. Signs may only announce events sponsored by nonprofit or public entity or a public service announcement.

Once the Community Development Department has received the application form it will be reviewed and assigned a sign location if the above guidelines have been met.
Applications may be submitted by fax (843-842-8908), US Mail (Town of Hilton Head Island, Attention: Community Development Information Center, One Town Center Court, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928), or hand delivered to the Community Development Information Center located at Town Hall.
