Submission of Proof

In some instances, officer's will require that defendant's provide proof auto insurance, vehicle regristration or driver's license prior to their assigned court date.  The Municipal Court Adminstrative Staff will accept proof provided on behalf of the officer only:

  1. Prior to the scheduled Court Date and Time
  2. If Insurance, Drivers License or Vehicle Registration was valid the date of the violation.
  3. If Insurance, Drivers License or Vehicle Registration was obtained after the date of violation, the defendant must appear in court to provide proof to the Officer or Judge.

In the acceptance of Proof by Municipal Court Administrative Staff, the defendant will be given a copy of a "Proof Acceptance Statement" for completion and signature. The proof will be provided to the officer on the day of court for review. In the event the officer has questions or concerns regarding the proof, the case will be scheduled for the officer's next court date and the defendant will be sent a notice to the address on the Proof Acceptance Statment.pdf icon
