Employment Application Process

The Town of Hilton Head Island accepts resumes or applications only for currently advertised openings. Unsolicited resumes or applications cannot be retained for future openings.

You may submit a resume by email, fax, mail, or in person:

Submit a separate resume for each position for which you apply, including job title and close date on each submittal.

Submittals must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the ad close date to be eligible for consideration. Depending on the position, candidates may be required to take job-related skill, physical or medical assessments as part of the selection process.

Starting salaries are generally within the hiring range referenced in a posting.

The Town automatically provides status updates only to applicants who progress to our interview process. Applicants can request a status update by sending an email to jobs@hiltonheadislandsc.govemail icon. You will receive a reply within one business day.

Applicants who do not have a current resume may submit an Employment Application. Employment Applications are available from our Receptionist at One Town Center Court from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. You may also request an application by sending an email to jobs@hiltonheadislandsc.govemail icon with the subject line Application Form Request. An application form will be forwarded to you via return email.
