Entry-level Firefighter Exam Options

Candidates may take the exam in paper & pencil format on Hilton Head Island on Saturday, August 3, 2019 or take the exam online between August 4 - 10, 2019. Additional information on each of these options is below.

Paper & Pencil Test Option

When: August 3, 2019
Where: Hilton Head Island
Format: Pencil and paper test taken in person
Proctoring: Live proctors on site
Cost: Free

Candidates will be required to verify their identity with a picture ID. Information on the testing time and location will be sent to candidates via email on or July 26.

Online Test Option

When: Anytime during the testing window (August 4 - 10, 2019)
Where: Any location using a computer with internet access, a webcam and microphone (system requirements for this option are below)
Format: Online test
Proctoring: Live, virtual proctoring https://www.proctoru.com/live-plus-resource-center
Cost: $25.00 (paid to the online testing vendor)

Candidates will be required to verify their identity with a picture ID. Instructions on test scheduling and fee payment will be sent to the candidates via email on or around July 26.
