Town Seeks Community Development Director and Infrastructure Services Director

Hilton Head Island Town Manager Marc Orlando announced the posting of two key leadership positions.

"As we seek to round out our leadership team, we will be undertaking a nationwide recruiting effort to fill top leadership positions in Community Development and Infrastructure Services," Orlando said.

The Community Development Director will manage Comprehensive Planning, Development Review and Zoning, Building Services and Community Development Services. Our Community Development Department is currently working on a number of redevelopment projects that will have lasting positive impacts on the quality of life of residents and guests to our wonderful Island. Innovative planning, creative land use applications, and implementation of "Our Plan", the Town's award winning Comprehensive Plan will provide exciting opportunities and challenges for the new Director.

The Infrastructure Services Director will manage Capital Projects, Stormwater and Facilities Management. The department is currently involved in several critical projects, most notably the Highway 278 Corridor project that will improve access from the Island to the Mainland. In addition, a robust capital program and implementation of the recently adopted Parks and Recreation Master Plan, including the upcoming mid-Island redevelopment strategy and park, will be an exciting opportunity for the new Director to lead the department in their work to create best-in-class facilities on the Island.
