Land Acquistion Program

Beginning shortly after its incorporation in 1983, the Town has acquired parcels of land and development rights as part of its strategic approach to managing growth, preserving the natural environment, providing access to water ways, and supporting the objectives set forth in its Comprehensive Plan.

Over 300 individual properties comprised of over 2,000 acres have been purchased at a combined cost of approximately $150 million.
