Gullah Geechee Historic Neighborhoods CDC Board of Directors

Town Council seeks to appoint a dynamic and diverse group of individuals representing a variety of interests to be part of the Board of Directors for the Gullah Geechee Historic Neighborhoods Community Development Corporation.

Board Member Duties Include:

  • Provide Oversight and Guidance to the Executive Director
  • Establish a Comprehensive Strategic Plan for the Corporation
  • Assist with Implementation of the Strategic Initiatives
  • Develop an Operational and Capital Budgets that Support the Corporation's Strategic Plan
  • Establish Annual Performance Metrics and Other Similar Objectives for the Corporation
  • Oversee the Annual Financial Reporting and Auditing Process
  • Communicate Key Initiatives to the Public

Board of Directors Structure:

  • Representatives from a Historic Neighborhood or the Greater Hilton Head Island Gullah Community
  • Individuals with Business Leadership Experience
  • Local Religious Leaders
  • Individuals with Experience in the Financial or Banking Industries
  • Individuals with Community/Urban Planning Experience
  • Individuals Representing Public Utilities
  • Individuals who can Serve to Facilitate Community Building
