Upcoming COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine Clinics on Hilton Head Island

The Town of Hilton Head Island, the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control and Hilton Head Hospital will host free COVID-19 vaccine and testing clinics for the public. No appointments are required. The shots are available for first and second doses only; no booster vaccines will be provided.

Vaccine events will be held on the following dates:

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is approved for individuals 12 and older. The Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine is approved for individuals 18 and older.

What vaccines will be offered?
The Janssen vaccine will be offered at upcoming vaccine clinics on September 10 (Fire Station 7 at 1001 Marshland Road near the Cross Island Parkway) and September 18 (Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival at Lowcountry Celebration Park).  The Pfizer vaccine will be offered on September 17 (first dose) and October 8 (second dose) at Chaplin Community Park, 11 Cast Net Drive.

Will booster vaccines be available?
Booster shots will not be available.

Where can I get additional information about the vaccines?
Visit scdhec.gov/vaxfacts for more information and answers to frequently asked vaccine questions or call DHEC's Vaccination Line at 1-866-365-8110. DHEC staff is available to respond to questions every day from 7 am to 7 pm.

Who is eligible to get a vaccine?
As of May 12, 2021, all South Carolinians 12 and older are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine and all South Carolinians age 18 and older are eligible for the Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines.

Do I need an appointment for vaccines and tests?
You do not need an appointment for our vaccine and testing clinics.

Do I need identification to get a vaccine or be tested?
You do not need an ID or insurance to get your shots or be tested at the clinics we are hosting.

Do I need to bring identification to be tested?
If you are under 18 years of age, please bring your parent or legal guardian with you. They will need to give their consent before you can be tested.

Will I be charged for vaccines and tests?
There is no charge for the vaccine or testing clinics we are hosting.

When will I get test results?
You will receive your test results within 48 to 72 hours.
