Update on SC Department of Transportation Paving Work on the William Hilton Parkway

By month's end, the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will be wrapping up its project to repave a 2.18-mile section of William Hilton Parkway, extending from Yacht Cove to Sea Pines Circle.

The SCDOT contracted team anticipates completing paving operations by the end of this week, weather permitting. Paving activities are contingent upon dry weather and typically occur from Sunday nights through Thursday nights.

Upon finishing of the asphalt paving phase, the contractor will complete other required work by the end of October, pending weather conditions:

• Application of pavement markings and installation of signage.
• Restoration of road shoulders.
• Application of thermoplastic markings for crosswalks.

The Town thanks its residents and visitors for their patience during this project, aimed at enhancing road safety for all drivers. Motorists are advised to exercise caution in areas where work is ongoing.
