Town Completes Shelter Cove Pathway

Town of Hilton Head Island officials announced that construction work for a new pathway on Shelter Cove Lane has been successfully completed and is now open for public use.

The project consisted of:

This addition increases the island’s public pathways to 72.47 miles.

"The new pathway not only expands the Town’s network of pathways but also fosters improved connectivity for bicyclists and pedestrians within the Shelter Cove vicinity, making it easier and safer for everyone to explore our beautiful island," said Mayor Alan Perry.

"We are very proud of this project. It establishes a pathway link along Shelter Cove Lane that will enhance safety for pathway users," said Chris McVey, the Senior Project Manager who oversaw the project.
