Fire Station Two

Fire Station Two is located in Sea Pines near Plantation Center and is the oldest operating fire house. The station was opened in June 2021.

• The new Station Two is designed to withstand some seismic and high wind events and is built as high as possible due to storm surge and the ability to house additional staff in an extreme emergency.
• This LEED silver certified station is about 8,500 square feet and has sleeping facilities for five firefighters, a community meeting and training room, weight room, and three bays for fire apparatus and ambulances.

Apparatus

• Engine-2 - 2008 Spartan/Crimson Pumper
• Medic-2 - 2019 Frasier Ambulance on a Ford F-450 Chassis

Staffing

• Station Two has a minimum daily staffing of four firefighters.
• This station operates a split crew staffing model that allows two personnel to respond on the medic unit for EMS calls while keeping the fire apparatus in service with two personnel.
  • On fire related calls when all personnel are in quarters, all four will respond on the fire apparatus and place the medic unit out of service.
