Maintenance activities are scheduled for various recreational sites within the Town of Hilton Head Island. Specific details are as follows:
Barker Field Cleanup
Location: 70 Baygall Road Dates: Wednesday, January 31 to Friday, February 2 Activities: Site cleanup involving the removal of the old playground, bleachers and broken fencing.
The Town recently acquired Barker Field through an exchange with Beaufort County. The park will remain a central hub for outdoor recreational activities and is now under the Town's maintenance.
Shelter Cove Community Park Playground Maintenance
Location: 39 Shelter Cove Lane Dates: Tuesday, February 6 to Friday, February 9 Activities: Temporary closure of the playground for the removal of rubber mulch and the installation of ADA certified play soft mulch.
The park will remain open for public use during this maintenance period.
