Firefighter Salary and Benefits

Salary

Firefighter/ EMT (Recruit): $50,846 (Earning potential up to $69,285)

Firefighter/ EMT (IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter II Certified): $56,992 (Earning potential up to $69,285)

Firefighter/Paramedic (IFSAC or Pro Board Accredited Firefighter II): $66,111 (Earning potential up to $80,370)

• Sign-on bonuses will be paid to certified Firefighters ($2,500), EMTs ($2,500) and Paramedics ($10,000) whose credentials are transferable or have reciprocity (do not require additional education or training to become credentialed in South Carolina).
