Community Engagement

Extensive engagement effort to develop a 20 year vision for the Island.

Over 4,500 hours of community participation went into the vision.

Vision and Strategic Action Plan

• Defined the community's preferred future for Reinventing Sustainability... Again!
• Set parameters for seven Core Values (also known as Strategic Pillars) to guide future planning.
• Adopted by Town Council in May 2018.

• A cross section of the environment, society, and the economy defines sustainability for Our Plan, where a community balanced in these three things has viable economic development, a resilient built environment, and equitable social conditions.
