Reminder: Deadline for Business License Renewals is April 30

The April 30, 2023, deadline for business license renewals is approaching. As a reminder, all businesses operating within The Town of Hilton Head Island must have a business license by that date.

Business owners are encouraged to complete and submit their business license renewal application by the end of April to avoid paying any late penalties. After the renewal application is processed, business owners will receive a new license valid from May 1, 2023, through April 30, 2024.

The business license renewal fee may be:

• Processed online with a credit card or e-check at hiltonheadislandsc.gov.
• Paid in person with check or credit card at the Town of Hilton Head Island.
• Paid by check and mailed to:

  Hilton Head Island, S.C. 29928

Additionally, all new businesses or new owners conducting business within the Town of Hilton Head Island, including home-based businesses, must obtain a business license. Applications may be downloaded from the Town’s website at hiltonheadislandsc.gov.
