Hilton Head Island Town Budget for Fiscal Year 2024 to be Presented on Tuesday, May 2

The Town Council of Hilton Head Island will consider the first reading of its proposed consolidated fiscal year (FY) 2024 budget at its Town Council meeting at 3 pm, Tuesday, May 2.

At the meeting, Hilton Head Island Town Manager Marc Orlando will provide the Town Council and the public with an overview of the recommended consolidated budget. The presentation begins the Town's public budget review process. After the Town Council meeting, the proposed consolidated budget executive summary and the budget presentation will be available on the Town's website at hiltonheadislandsc.gov/finance.

"I am excited to present this year's budget, especially because of its focus on key initiatives within our strategic action plan. This budget invests funds into the Town Council's strategic initiatives and operations," Orlando said.

The public will have four opportunities to learn about and comment on the proposed budget. These opportunities will occur on:

• Tuesday, May 2 at 3 pm - Public hearing and first reading.
• Tuesday, May 9 at 1 pm - Budget workshop.
• Thursday, May 11 at 1 pm - Budget workshop. 
• Tuesday, June 6 at 3 pm - Second public hearing and second and final reading.  

The public can also view the budget sessions on the Town's YouTube Channel, the Beaufort County Channel, and Spectrum Channel 1304. Citizens who wish to address the Town Council about the budget during the May 2 meeting must contact the Town Clerk at 843-341-4701 by noon on Tuesday, May 2.
