William Hilton Parkway Gateway Corridor Independent Review Advisory Committee Holds First Meeting

The William Hilton Parkway Gateway Corridor Independent Review Advisory Committee has started the process to seek an independent review of the corridor project.

The advisory committee held its first meeting on Monday, April 17, and is scheduled to meet again at 9:30 am on Friday, May 12 at Town Hall.

The Town Council created the advisory committee by resolution on February 21 and announced committee members, consisting of four area residents and one Hilton Head Island Town Council member, at its March 23 meeting. They include:

The Advisory Committee will play an integral part in the Town’s comprehensive study of the William Hilton Parkway Gateway Corridor Project. For this review, the Town is hiring an independent specialist to conduct an end-to-end simulation of traffic flows and analyze the project, which includes areas from the mainland intersections at Moss Creek Drive and Buckingham Plantation Drive to the intersection of Indigo Run Drive/Whooping Crane Way with William Hilton Parkway business route and to Sea Pines Circle on the Cross Island Parkway route.
