Andrew Davis Joins the Town of Hilton Head Island as Director of Marketing and Communications

The Town of Hilton Head Island is excited to announce the appointment of Andrew Davis as the Town's Director of Marketing and Communications effective August 14.

Andrew joins the Town after a career as a trusted journalist and community leader. He has served as anchor, reporter, investigative reporter, and producer for several networks over the last 29 years, including 14 years covering news in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, and has received significant recognition for his work. His knowledge of the media landscape, combined with his ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively, make Andrew an invaluable asset to the Town.

"We are delighted to have Andrew join our team," said Town Manager Marc Orlando. "His expertise in storytelling, combined with his skill in revealing and presenting details in a compelling manner, will significantly enhance our communication and engagement efforts within the community."

As Director of Marketing and Communications, Andrew will be responsible for sharing Town Council’s Strategic Plan priorities, engaging with community stakeholders, and directing the Town’s media relations, communications, branding, and marketing efforts. His focus will be ensuring that residents, business owners, and visitors know, not just what is going on, but how it will impact their everyday lives.

Andrew holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Spring Hill College and has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including Edward R. Murrow Award, Associated Press (AP) awards, and Georgia Association of Broadcasters (GABBY) awards. He was also spotlighted in a national HBO documentary on the Murdaugh murders.

In addition to his outstanding professional qualifications, Andrew is a committed community member and frequently hosts charity events for organizations such as Volunteers in Medicine, Boys and Girls Club, Programs for Exceptional People (PEP), Deep Well, Family Promise, Hopeful Horizons, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and St. Frances School.
