Town Offices Closed on Monday, January 15, in Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Town of Hilton Head Island administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, and reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16.

While the Town's emergency services and the Hilton Head Island Airport will remain available and operational during the holiday, the Beaufort County Convenience Center, located at 26 Summit Road on Hilton Head Island, will be closed on Monday. Normal operating hours will resume at 7:30 am on Tuesday, January 16.

In celebration of Dr. King’s legacy, we encourage everyone to participate in the events organized by the Hilton Head MLK Committee for Justice:

Monday, January 15
Memorial March, 10 am
Starting and ending at Hilton Head High School parking lot, 70 Wilborn Road

Memorial Program, 11 am
Hilton Head High School Seahawk Cultural Center, 70 Wilborn Road
The program features a community choir, guest speakers, and the presentation of the MLK Community Service Award.

Fellowship Luncheon, 12:30 pm

Saturday, January 20

The Hilton Head MLK Committee for Justice invites you to an evening celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Enjoy a chef-curated dinner, silent auction, prize drawings, music, and dancing. This is a ticketed event.
