Hilton Head Island Town Council to Hold Annual Strategic Planning Workshop on March 21st

The Hilton Head Island Town Council and Town staff will gather for their annual Strategic Planning Workshop on Thursday, March 21.  It will be held from 9 am to 4 pm in the grand ballroom at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, 2 Grasslawn Avenue.

At the annual workshop, Town Manager Marc Orlando and senior staff members will provide a comprehensive status update on the latest developments on our Town's strategic initiatives, get insights into progress on the Town’s Fiscal Year 2023-2025 Strategic Action Plan and lead a discussion on Town goals and priorities.

"This workshop allows us to share a thorough update with the Mayor and Town Council on the Strategic Action Plan, learn about their priorities and expectations, and exchange ideas on how to continue moving this plan forward and effectively meeting our strategic goals. Their input is vital to all the current initiatives underway and the strategic work that still lies ahead," said Town Manager Marc Orlando. "The strategic action plan sets the blueprint for us to follow for years to come. I am pleased with what we have accomplished over the last year, and I look forward to working with Town Council to continue building on these initiatives and shaping the Island’s future."

"This Town Council has now worked together for more than a year and has the knowledge and experience to take an in-depth look at this Strategic Action Plan, where we are now and what work still needs to be done," said Mayor Alan Perry. "The efforts of this Town Council as well as Town staff are building momentum and putting the Town on the right path toward a bright future."

The current Strategic Action Plan lays out 15 initiatives aimed at protecting and preserving the Island’s natural environment, managing growth, developing creative revenue sources to fund the delivery of services, and providing exceptional quality-of-life offerings in arts, culture, and recreation.

Workshop Agenda

The agenda for the workshop will be posted on the Town's website at hiltonheadislandsc.gov. Language interpretation services will be available for members of the public who request them.

Members of the public are welcome to come to the Strategic Planning Workshop on March 21. The public’s presence and input are vital to the process. There is specific time set aside for public comment during this meeting.
