In an effort to support residents who are struggling to find a place to take excessive yard debris in the wake of Hurricane Helene, the Town of Hilton Head Island will stand up a special debris drop-off at the Coastal Discovery Museum property located at 70 Honey Horn Drive.
Residents can take their tree and landscaping debris to the drop-off point from 9 am to 4:30 pm starting Saturday, September 28 through Monday, September 30, 2024. Only tree and landscaping debris will be accepted at this drop-off site. All unloading of debris is at residents’ risk.
Drivers may enter through the Gumtree Road or William Hilton Parkway access points. Town staff and posted signage will help direct drivers as needed.
For all other types of debris, all Beaufort County Convenience Centers are back to regular operations on September 28, 2024.
