Town Administrative Offices Closed in Observance of Veterans Day

November 7, 2024

In observance of Veterans Day, the Town of Hilton Head Island administrative offices will be closed on Monday, November 11. The Town will resume regular business hours at 8 am on Tuesday, November 12.

Also, the Beaufort County Convenience Center at 26 Summit Road on Hilton Head Island will be closed on Monday, November 11, and will resume its normal operating schedule on Tuesday, November 12. Town emergency services will remain available during the holiday.

We are happy to share the following information on behalf of the Hilton Head Military Veterans Coalition, which sponsors Hilton Head Island’s Annual Veterans Day Program:

Veterans’ Memorial at Shelter Cove Community Park
59 Shelter Cove Lane, Hilton Head Island

Major General William Green, Jr., the United States Army Chief of Chaplains, will be the guest speaker at this annual ceremony. Green is a native of Hilton Head Island.  Along with local veterans, other program participants include Hilton Head Island Mayor Alan Perry, the Hilton Head Island High School Naval Junior ROTC, the Hilton Head Choral Society, and local musicians Greg Whittaker and Billy Howe.
