Hilton Head Island's Town Manager to Present FY2026 Town Budget on Tuesday, May 6

The Town Council of Hilton Head Island will consider the first reading of its proposed consolidated fiscal year (FY) 2026 budget at its Town Council meeting at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 6.

During this meeting, Hilton Head Island Town Manager Marc Orlando will deliver an overview of the recommended consolidated budget to the Town Council and the public. The presentation begins the Town's public budget review process. Following the Town Council meeting, the proposed consolidated budget and the budget presentation will be accessible on the Town's website at hiltonheadislandsc.gov/finance.

“I look forward to presenting a comprehensive budget for the upcoming fiscal year that reinforces our commitment to Town Council’s strategic initiatives and focuses on critical investments for beach renourishment and other capital improvement projects that benefit our island,” Orlando said. “Additionally, our budget will have resources allocated to support the Town Council's future strategic initiatives, sustain the Town’s day-to-day operations, and continue to improve quality of life on Hilton Head Island.”

There will be four opportunities to learn about and provide feedback on the proposed budget. These opportunities are scheduled for:

• Tuesday, May 6 at 3 p.m. – Public hearing and first reading at Town Council meeting
• Monday, May 12 at 2 p.m. – Town Council budget workshop
• Tuesday, May 13 at 2 p.m. – Town Council budget workshop for capital improvement projects
• Tuesday, June 3 at 3 p.m. – Second public hearing and second and final reading at Town Council meeting

The public can view the budget sessions on the Town's YouTube Channel and the Beaufort County Channel. Citizens who wish to address the Town Council about the budget during any of the scheduled meetings should sign up to speak online or contact the Town Clerk at 843-341-4701. Public comment sign-up will also be available in person within Council chambers prior to the beginning of each meeting. Citizens must sign-up prior to the start of meeting business to address Town Council during the public comment period.
